LLFLEX is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Louisville, KY

Position Purpose:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing effective and efficient Human Resources support for the Louisville plant. The candidate shall provide full employee life cycle support to managers and employees, including but not limited to recruiting, policy interpretation and application, employee and labor relations, grievance administration,
coaching, training, disciplinary processes and procedures, and benefits administration.
Essential Functions:
  • Develop recruiting strategies for hourly and salaried positions. Coordinates and fully participates in the recruiting and selection process.
  • Communicate benefits information to employees, answers employee questions and resolve employee benefit issues.
  • Conducts new hire orientations. Conducts employee training on human resources related topics as needed.
  • Investigates employee relation issues such as employee concerns, complaints, harassment allegations and recommends appropriate action.
  • Implements and delivers training to management.
  • Partners with leadership to identify and determine management development needs.
  • Manages and coordinates site succession and workforce planning efforts.
  • Advises managers on labor relations matters, interpret contract provisions, and assist managers in resolution of grievance matters.
  • Act as liaison to third party administrators for various employee benefits, e.g. retirement, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, etc.
  • Career development planning.
  • Accurately Input data into and run reports from HRIS systems.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and provide employee and managerial guidance relative to Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to employee handbooks through updating legal requirements, maintenance / updates to collective bargaining agreement.
  • Experience administering the grievance and arbitration process
  • Build strong relationships and administer collective bargaining agreements for three unions including USW, IAM, IBEW
  • Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:
  • Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience managing Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, in related field or compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.
  • Prior experience in a union environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and other government compliance regulations
  • Working knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of legal requirements affecting various human resource practices.
  • Must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and / or independently including driving them to closure is required.
  • Must have strong attention to detail to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to make presentations / lead communications meetings as needed.
Physical Requirements:

  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to others accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Visual Acuity: Able to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
The employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.
